Conditions We Treat

What Are We Treating—and Why It Matters

At Aven Clinic, we believe symptoms are not random—they’re signals from your body’s inner ecosystem. Our role is not to silence them temporarily, but to uncover the root cause. By combining precision testing, advanced therapies, and compassionate guidance, we help patients move from chronic symptoms to long-term vitality.

Conditions we can help with

Hormone Support (Men & Women)

Hormones are the body’s chemical messengers. They regulate everything from energy, mood, and metabolism to sleep, sexual function, and even how your body responds to stress.

  • Chronic fatigue
  • Anxiety, depression, or mood instability
  • Difficulty sleeping or staying asleep
  • Unexplained weight gain or loss
  • Sensitivity to cold or heat (thyroid-related)
  • Skin changes (acne, dryness, premature aging)
Weight Gain

Weight gain occurs when the body stores more energy than it uses, often showing up as an increase in body fat, fluid retention, or muscle mass.

  • Fatigue or low energy
  • Increased belly fat or stubborn weight that won’t budge
  • Brain fog and difficulty concentrating
  • Mood swings, anxiety, or depression
  • Sleep issues, including difficulty staying asleep
  • Slowed metabolism, cold intolerance, or dry skin (thyroid-related)
  • Low libido or sexual dysfunction
  • Irregular periods in women or decreased muscle mass in men
Longevity

Longevity is more than just living longer—it’s about living better. It means extending the years of life spent in good health, with strong energy, sharp cognition, and resilient vitality. True longevity is the ability to not just add years to your life, but life to your years.

  • Persistent fatigue or reduced stamina
  • Brain fog, memory loss, or slower processing speed
  • Loss of muscle mass and strength
  • Weight gain, especially around the midsection
  • Low libido or sexual dysfunction
  • Mood swings, anxiety, or depression
Sexual Dysfunction

Sexual dysfunction refers to ongoing problems with desire, arousal, performance, or satisfaction. In men, it often shows up as erectile dysfunction or low testosterone. In women, it can include low libido, vaginal dryness, or difficulty achieving orgasm.

  • Erectile dysfunction or premature ejaculation (men)
  • Low libido or vaginal dryness (women)
  • Fatigue, brain fog, or mood swings affecting intimacy
  • Difficulty achieving orgasm or reduced sensitivity
  • Relationship strain tied to sexual dissatisfaction
Menopause

Menopause is a natural stage of life marking the end of a woman’s reproductive years, typically occurring between ages 45–55. It’s officially diagnosed after 12 consecutive months without a menstrual cycle.

  • Sleep disruption and fatigue
  • Mood swings, anxiety, or brain fog
  • Weight gain or stubborn belly fat
  • Thinning hair or dry skin
  • Decreased libido or vaginal discomfort
Low Testosterone

Testosterone is the primary male sex hormone, essential for energy, muscle strength, sexual health, mood, and overall vitality. Low testosterone (Low T) occurs when levels fall below normal—most often beginning around age 40 but possible at any age.

  • Low libido or erectile dysfunction
  • Mood swings, irritability, or depression
  • Brain fog or poor concentration
  • Thinning hair or reduced bone density
  • Sleep problems or restless nights
Lyme & Tick-Borne Disease

Lyme disease and other tick-borne illnesses are infections transmitted through the bite of infected ticks. Lyme disease is the most well-known, caused by the bacterium Borrelia burgdorferi.

  • “Bull’s-eye” rash (erythema migrans) at the site of the bite
  • Fever, chills, and flu-like symptoms
  • Fatigue and muscle aches
  • Headache and stiff neck
Fibromyalgia

Fibromyalgia is a chronic health condition characterized by widespread musculoskeletal pain, fatigue, and heightened sensitivity to touch.

  • Headaches or migraines
  • Digestive issues such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
  • Numbness or tingling in hands and feet
  • Sensitivity to noise, light, or smells
Mold & Mycotoxins Toxicity

Mold and mycotoxin toxicity occurs when prolonged exposure to certain types of mold—or the toxins they release—creates harmful effects on the body. While mold is a natural part of the environment, certain species (like Stachybotrys, Aspergillus, and Penicillium) produce mycotoxins, toxic compounds that can accumulate in the body and disrupt immune, neurological, and hormonal systems.

  • Extreme fatigue not relieved by rest
  • Light sensitivity or visual disturbances
  • Dizziness or balance problems
  • Tingling or numbness in extremities
Candida Related Complex

Candida Related Complex (CRC) refers to a collection of symptoms that arise when Candida albicans—a type of yeast that naturally lives in the digestive tract, mouth, and genitals—grows out of balance. While Candida is usually harmless and kept in check by healthy bacteria and the immune system, overgrowth can lead to widespread symptoms throughout the body.

  • PMS or worsening menstrual symptoms
  • Low libido or sexual dysfunction
  • Muscle aches or joint pain
  • Sensitivity to odors, chemicals, or toxins
